  that is, the "faithful and prudent slave" admitted that he is not a channel between god and people, but a group of ordinary people who have themselves appointed themselves and interpret the bible by themselves ??

  ?so why did they then decide that in 1919 they were chosen by jesus christ.after all, jesus clearly said how to distinguish a false prophet (deuteronomy 18: 20-22).. who will help to find quotes from the watchtower, that the words "faithful and discreet slave" come not from him, but from god.and that everything he writes in publications is true and true.?.

  The infantile and the dumb are just about the only ones left who might be converted.

  in late may 2017, i told my parents how i really felt about the religion they had raised me in, and by early june i was out of their house.

  i've done a lot since then.

  i let my hair and beard grow out a bit.

  I would change that first line in your bio, "I am something of a rarity", (you might find that a little cringy in a few years 😅), but otherwise congrats on taking steps to set up a life outside of JW Land and landing successfully . . . Now take off running, don't trip and enjoy the view ☺️👍

  They'll have to change their name to ITS (Internet & Tract Society).

  Also of interest is that they have this available for download in jwpub file format, which is usually available only through the app.

  Just asked JW wife to quit

  so i wont get into why i asked my jw wife to leave... theres another thread for that lol... but more out of pure curiosity i asked her just now... "in order to save this marriage would you leave the jws?

  ", it was a snap call no, like not even a second to pause and think about it, which kinda took me back a bit, followed by a angry "why would you ask me that now?

  " (shes going out witnessing with my kids and her friends).

  The only thing about religious neutrality for the kids is that she'll feel fully justified in breaking that promise (theocratic warfare and all) while meantime they won't get the flip side from you

  I Think There Should Be Laws Against Political Discrimination

  i think it’s terrible and simply wrong not to serve a person in a restaurant simply because you disagree with their political views.

  i think that when a uber driver dumps a car load of people simply because they speak amongst themselves about politics that the driver doesn’t agree with—-it’s discrimination!

  this type of discrimination will cost people their lives someday!.

  I agree with you mimimus but I ultimately agree with the others. While it isn't 'fair' in a sense to have sexual orientation, etc. covered by discrimination laws and not political views, that's also playing their own game and going down the wrong path, as government overreach is a Hallmark of liberals. If they want to discriminate against you, you have the right to go elsewhere. I know of a business that discriminated against Republicans publicly, and in months they were out of business.
